Works perfectly in MacBook Pro (late 2009 model)

Review Date: November 22, 2009
Reviewer: John F. Hubbard, San Jose, CA United States
I purchased this 8GB set as a replacement for the 4GB that came with my late 2009 model MacBook Pro 17" laptop. It works perfectly, and at $675, it is nearly 50% cheaper than the same memory upgrade that Apple sells on their website. As Corsair has a good reputation, and my own experience with their desktop RAM is good, I think that this approach is sound. Note that Corsair provides a limited lifetime warranty on the memory, so it's not as if you're without protection here.
Works great so far...

I have had this memory installed in my Mac Mini Server (2010 edition) for about a month now. I am pleased with its performance and price.
DOA

Review Date: August 20, 2010
Reviewer: Serinox,
I purchased this ram for my laptop after double checking that it could support 8 gigs. unfortunately the ram I received appears to be DOA, memtest86 gives hundreds of errors in the first few seconds of operation and when the computer does get into windows it is very unstable and crashes. I'm currently in the process of re-seating the ram and making sure that there is nothing blocking the sticks from making good contact with the socket but from the looks of things I'll probably end up RMA'ing the ram for a new set.
GET THE CHEAPER SET!!

This memory is probably just fine but get the cheaper set. I accidentally bought the one here and immediately canceled as I noticed a cheaper set which will do the same thing.
